Outside the National Gallery

Alcoholics welcome!

That's what I call advertising! Not the most 'responsible' in today's supposed climate of a 'binge drinking epidemic!'

In Estonia too!

Likewise in Tallinn, not quite the right sort of advertising!Something lost in the translation I think...
All drunks welcome, would perhaps be more precise! These were from my 2007 visit.

My mates Mark & Andy found it amusing enough!

Sutton Row, W1-TWWSI

I thought this was a terrible choice of location for 'The Way We See It'. A pokey side road, off of Charing Cross Road, only a couple of hundred yards long! Hope other contributors to TWWSI enjoyed photographing it more than me!

I'm NOT joking, but this is the length of Sutton Row!

Unite Cyprus!

These photos are from 2007. I happened across a demonstration of Cypriots holding their annual march and rally protesting against the occupation of the northern part of their homeland by Turkey.

You looking at me?

A sad shell

That is all that remains of the West Pier in Brighton.
I realise there are a few too many 'samey' snaps here, but I include them all for two reasons. Firstly they are a mix of ones taken by myself and a friend of mine, Lawrence, who took them on my camera as well, so am not sure entirely which ones are mine! And secondly, they are so incredibly sad. Almost 'ghosts' of the pier, that I feel I must post them all so the spirit of the West Pier somehow lives on through them.
There are now plans to salvage some of the reamins from under the sea, & build a twenty first century 'vertical' pier. I wish them well & hope it comes to fruition.
