A row of houses

This is from Amersham, in Buckinghamshire.
Something about them must have appealed to me when I took
the picture.
But looking at it now I have no idea what!

Twins!

The town of Chesham, In Buckinghamshire, twinned with
Friedrichdsorf, in Germany.
This mosaic, in Chesham, celebrates their realtionship.

Stitched up!

These posters were on a number of lamposts on the main road
from Amersham to Chesham, when I was walking between the two
towns last September.
Looka like someone got stitched up for their birthday!

Occupation Museum, Tallinn

I visited the Museum of Occupations when I was in Tallinn, in July 2007.
It was the only museum I visited. I'm looking forward to going back in a couple of months time, so I can see a lot more of them.

I've actually forgotten the relevance of many of them. But one thing I did learn was about the Forest Brothers, who I had never heard of before.

The pictures were from a temporary display, I think, about old Soviet gulags.

I also took a couple of snaps of old banners, which I think are superb.

And the old statues were relics of the Soviet occupation, and were, fittingly, in the basement, by the toilets!
