Spitting image

This was taken in early 2007. I was in Paris with the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters' team, who were playing our good friends from the Belgian branch of the Paris Saint Germain Supporters' Club.
The chap on the left is one of our number, Hutty. (AKA One Eye; AKA Fidel)
On the right, plastered over all the billboards was Abbe Pierre, who died just before our visit!

Spotted in a flea market in Paris!

So French!

I spotted this billboard outside a cinema in Paris. Nobody bats an eyelid. Can you imagine the furore if someone put this up outside an English cinema? We may be far superior to the French...but I'm ashamed of our prudity compared to them.

Water strange fountain!

This is outside, next to the modern art Pompideau Centre, in Paris.
Granted it's different, but hardly Trafalgar Square is it! ;-)

Taking a breather

I actually love this photo!
Partly because I didn't know what I was taking! It was in Paris, in March 2008, and I sat down on a bench. This bloke sta down next to me, and I had my camera across my belly, I didn't look through the viewfinder, to see what I was snapping. And this was the result. I love these sort of 'real life' photos!

Paris photo museum

Whenever I'm in Paris I try to visit this musem, I love the Photographers Gallery, tucked in a sidestreet off of Charing Cross Road, & I wish we could have one as good as the French one over here. The London gallery is raising funds to be relocated, and will be much bigger in a few years time, Yay!!

Looking at photographs is my favourite form of art, thought I'm not art critic! But I do enjoy looking at snaps in galleries & museums. The great thing about these in Paris & London, & I presume elsewhere, is that they are all temporary exhibitions, so every time you go to visit there's something new to see.
